I'm Karen a commissioned artist who tells people that the pieces I create will spark a conversation. That they are receiving a Conversation Piece. That's exactly where this brand was born.
Art that Starts Conversations
Conversation Pieces began as individual, handcrafted art pieces. As a commissioned artist, I named my work 'Conversation Pieces' because every piece was meant to spark a dialogue something people would point to and talk about.
That name, and that philosophy, became the soul of everything that followed.
Seeing the Invisible Employee
After 30+ years working in Corporate HR, I saw a pattern that troubled me. Employees who received a welcome gift when they were hired a thoughtful, personal token sent to their home were far more likely to stay.
Most employees simply weren't being seen. Organizations were missing the most powerful retention tool available: making people feel that they matter. That gap became my purpose.
Where Love Meets Purpose
I've always been a giver. Making gifts for family and friends has always brought me joy. When I combined that natural love for gifting with the real, urgent gap I saw in how organizations treat people the gift box collections were born.
